If you give of your possessions.  It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.' - Kahil Gibran

When a loved one dies, we experience loss that causes intense sadness, pain and loneliness. It is a life changing event, that can be numbing.
Grieving is a challenging experience, for everyone in the family, social circle or care providers of the loved one that passed on. It is normal to experience emotions of anger, withdrawal, guilt, sadness and anxiety.
Overstrand Hospice provides individual Bereavement counselling and support for a year plus to family members of patients if needed.
We also have a monthly Bereavement and Loss Support group, held on the last Thursday of each month at 10 Hope street, HERMANUS.
The group as open to anyone who is affected by the loss of someone, in the Overstrand region. ( Pearly Beach to Rooi Els.)
These group sessions  are free of charge and sharing takes place in a supportive and confidential safe space. To confirm your attendance and for any additional information, please contact our Bereavement coordinator, Fransil Kotze on 082 947 3746 or at 028 312 4679.
